I began my career teaching, right after finishing my undergraduate degree in architecture in Bangladesh. That early experience — working closely with students, one at a time — shaped how I still approach complex problems: by staying close to the people affected by them.

I went on to complete a Master of Architecture in the United States, and worked in New York for a couple of years before returning to design and master planning work in Bangladesh. Over the following years, I worked across architecture, urban design, and master planning — from neighborhood parks to a 215-acre botanical garden masterplan, to serving as Project Manager and Quality Control Architect on a 207-acre, $163M national infrastructure project. Alongside a master’s in Urban Management, this work grounded me in large-scale, multi-stakeholder coordination.

Since 2021, I’ve moved into strategy, data analytics, and programme management — working with the UN system (WFP, UN DCO, and UNHCR) on global policy, spatial data tracking, and cost efficiency across hundreds of facilities and country teams.

None of these stages replaced the one before it. I can still work hands-on on a design project, and I can also help guide its direction, coordinate its delivery, or shape the policy around it — these are ways of working that support each other, not separate paths.

Looking ahead, I’m committed to meaningful work — whether that happens at a drawing table, in a programme office, or in a policy discussion. I see myself as a culmination of everything I’ve done so far, and finding out what comes next.
